Here are our top 5 things to see in Macau that are ‘less-touristy’ than your standard big-name casinos such as Grand Lisboa & Venetian, although on such a crowded island, it is hard to find places devoid of tourists:

Galaxy Macau Diamond Show: It sounds corny and wouldn’t typically be our type of thing, but it is actually pretty mesmerizing to watch!

Neighborhood of Taipa: Very interesting to see what appears to be a Portuguese village smack dab in the middle of Asia.

Inverted Ferris Wheel: This Figure 8 shaped Ferris Wheel forms a huge hole in the side of the Studio City Casino building.

Praça de Ferreira do Amaral:  This greenhouse-like, glass, flame structure actually conceals a parking garage, but it really is quite cool to see if you are visiting the famous Grand Lisboa Casino

Red Market of Macao | Mercado Vermelho em Macau:  Pretty interesting market with mostly food items where you can pick up my favorite asian snack, Bakkwa
